The Library provides a copier for public use. Patrons are encouraged to ask for staff assistance. Charges are as follows:
20 cents per letter-sized copy
25 cents per legal or ledger-sized copy
A facsimile machine is available to library patrons. Library staff will perform the operation of the machine. The charges for transmission are as follows:
$1.00 per page to send a fax
50 cents per page to receive a fax
$1.50 to receive a fax on demand
$3.00 per page to send a fax overseas
Image and Document Scanner
A scanner is available to library patrons. Please ask a librarian for assistance in scanning your document into a computer file. .JPG and .PDF file formats are available.
The charges are 20 cents per letter-sized page scanned.
Patron Computer Use
The computer center has been established as a self-learning center for patrons. Librarians will be available to basic computer help. In-depth instruction is not provided.
The Taylorville Public Library offers ten Internet accessible computers, as well as wireless internet service for library patrons. Users must have signed the Internet Agreement before use. The library also offers eight computers for word-processing purposes. Two computers are available with Windows Publisher available.
Computers are available on a first come first-served basis.
The charge for printing is 20 cents per page. Patrons are required to pay for all pages printed, regardless of mistakes. Materials will print at the circulation desk.
